历史的反省不能只是把东条英机和希特勒视为坏人，把他们历史上抹掉而结束。

如果日本人把这座神社作为回顾明治维新以来的历史，继承祖祖辈辈留下来的遗产和负债而发誓还债，实现和平的地方的话，也许得到中韩等邻国的谅解。

白隠の隻手の声を聞くよりも、両手を打って商いをせん。

イエスが神殿で語られたこうした言葉は何れも旧約聖書を典拠としており、モーゼが神から与えられた律法の下、現世の全ての被造物は有罪であること、自分がこの世に現れたのは、自分とそして自分と信仰を等しくするもの本願力をもって草木国土悉皆成仏を実現することにあることを示したものと見られる。

人生の初めをその終わりに結びつけてそこから踏み出すものはこの世に居てすでに神の国に生きる者である。

インドが最近、国際原子力機関と取り交わした原子力安全保障協定の内容を見ると、米国を中心にした西側核保有国の核独占体制を維持するための、核不拡散協定と国際原子力機関の査察制度が骨抜きになり、最早機能しなくなったことが窺える。

歴史の反省は東条英機やヒットラーのみを悪者にし歴史から葬り去っただけでは済まない。

日本人が明治維新以来の歴史を振り返り、父祖の残した遺産と負債全てを受け継ぎ、平和の誓いを新たにする場とするなら、中国や韓国等の隣国も理解してくれるのではないだろうか。
