【ニューデリー】工業生産指数(IIP:Index of Industrial Production)は２００９年１２月に驚異的な１６．８％の伸びをマークした。過去１５年来最高の成長を実現した主因は、比較の対象になる前年同月の伸び率が－０．２％と振るわなかったことに伴うベース効果(base effect)は別にして、製造業、取り分け耐久消費財部門の好調に帰せられる。
