【シンガポール】伊藤忠商事はタイとインドネシアの天然ゴム生産会社と手を組みにシンガポールに払込資本400万米ドルの天然ゴム取引会社RubberNet (Asia) Pte Ltdを設立した。
ラバーネットにはSouthland Rubber Coが35％、伊藤忠が26％、Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Coが20％、Thaitech Rubber Corporationが10％、Aneka Bumi Pratamaが9％出資、営業初年度(2000年)に8000万米ドル、2001年に1億3000万米ドルの出荷を見込んでいる。
Southland、Sri Trang、Thaitech、Anekaの合計月間天然ゴム生産能力は6万トンを超え、これら4社がラバーネットのサプライ・ベースを務める。(ST,BT:11/4)
