【ムンバイ】Tata Power Trading Company Ltd (TPTCL)は、2003年電力法(Electricity Act 2003)第14条(Section 14)下に中央電力監督委員会(CERC:Central Electricity Regulatory Commission)から初の電力トレーディング・ライセンス(power trading licence)を取得した｡
ヒンドゥー・ビジネス・ラインが6月16日ＴＰＴＣＬのステートメントを引用し伝えたところによると、同社は全国の州電力局(SEB)／自家発電装置／電力会社／商業発電所(merchant power plants)の余剰電力を買い取り、電力消費者に供給する。ＴＰＴＣＬは日切り取引(trading on day-to-day)や時間切り取引(hour-to-hour basis)等の時刻指定取引(time-of-day trading)を紹介すると言う。
