New Year Greetings January 2017
One world:AD-SEAnews
Happy new year. Based on a new concept of "realizing borderless one world," SEAnews has launched a new business, AD-SEAnews.
Borderless one world will only be realized once each person in the world has overcome the barriers such as race, religion or ideology and gone hand in hand. But it is natural that individuals, who have different personalities and live in different circumstances, have different ideas and make walls to live separately. It will be hard to live in a wall less society for people can not secure their privacy. I myself am a Japanese who grew up in a family with a background of Buddhism, Confucianism and Shinto and my wife is Singaporean who belongs to the Catholic church and matrimonial quarrels are routine in our home, too.
The relationship in a country or among countries is more complicated. However, the new president of the United States, Donald Trump, who recently signed a presidential decree to build a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico, said in
his inaugural speech
, "We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to follow." While Chinese President Xi Jinping said in his
message to the World Economic Forum in Davos, "It is true that economic globalization has created new problems, but this is no justification to write economic globalization off completely. Rather, we should adapt to and guide economic globalization, cushion its negative impact, and deliver its benefits to all countries and all nations."
There is no ideological conflict between Capitalism and Communism in their speeches any more and it implies that the time is near when the two countries come hand in hand and make efforts to realize one world.
However, the cooperation of the United States and China alone does not realize one world. It is necessary for each of us to overcome the barriers and go hand in hand. I hope that AD-SEAnews will be able to shine as an avant for this concept.
